SO MUCH MUSIC

As I promised.... here's my music update. A lot of great tracks coming out... it feels like X-mas came early this year.
I haven't been blogging about new releases lately, I have not been inspired. I know... how sad is that!? How is that even possible!? I just get myself in situations that I know are not going to end up being healthy for me in the long run, yet I still keep on trying when I know it's worthless. I guess that puts me a little under the weather, oh well. I don't ask for much... but I think I deserve at least a "thank you." Some are just ungrateful it seems.

Anyway, moving on...
Word is that ADE was a huge success. If you've never heard of it, look it up! It's the biggest music festival there is... well, besides WMC I think. I heard a lot of positive feedback on ADE this past week. Maybe I'll make a stop next year, heehee! Here in LA, we had Monster Massive on Saturday. I did not attend, but from what friends told me... Carl Cox seemed to be the star of the night.
I've heard great tracks these past few days. Some of my favorite releasing great stuff right now are:

I know this was short, but I'll update you more on music next week.I'm going to New York in December, I leave on the 2nd and come back the first week of January. You know what they say, people go to NY to find the two Ls, LABELS and LOVE, I'm just going for the labels.  =))

Pop Champagne and Dessert Bar

Hello fellow readers. How are you all doing!?

I stayed away from the party and Hollywood scene this past weekend. I took it easy, stayed home and watched movies. I went out to a nice, yummy dinner Saturday night and afterwards went to a really cozy and very elegant champagne lounge. It's all about champagne... you can get anything from a bottle to a sampler of different types of champagne. Along with my 6 different samples of it, I also had dessert. Wow, both the champagne and dessert were delicious!!! I'm definitely going there more often. The place is called POP CHAMPAGNE AND DESSERT BAR. Oh, it's also really close to my place... heehee, it's located in Old Town Pasadena!!! How did I not know about it before!? I'm loving the bubbles. My favorite one (out of the 6 I tasted) is from Italy, so tasty!

Erick Morillo

If you were in LA on saturday night... than you were most likely to be at Avalon for Erick Morillo. He always seems to bring in the most amazing crowd and always hits full capacity! The set up, the lighting, etc. was amazing!!!  He played from 'Alive' to a lot of old tracks such as 'Spirit In My Life' by Cedric Gervais, it brought back a lot of memories. I got lost in the moment and felt like it was one of my first times at Avalon!!! Although; I think only half the crowd knew which track that was, should I feel old!? LOL! Anyway, a lot of other djs were in town as well. To my surprise, a great one I must say, FUNKAGENDA happened to be  there!!!! Just my luck,  totally made my night. I can't wait for next time he comes for Monday Night Social.. Looking forward to it.

PS: It was also nice seeing old friends and catching up with everyone!!! Overall, it was a lot of fun!!! Thanx to those who helped me out, it was chaos in there! =)) ♥.

October!

       Hello my lovely bloggers, tweeters, facebookers!!! How are you all doing? I can't believe October is already here, it happens to be one of my favorite months of the year. Why? I feel like all the festivities begin in October, starting with my sister's birthday on the 5th... and the list goes on... not to mention my favorite holiday is at the end of the month, HALLOWEEN!!! Yes... I love dressing up for Halloween and I already ordered my costume so I'm starting to get in my Halloween training mode.... Pain is beauty and if that means  having sore muscles, walking out of the gym ready to collapse then so be it!


*On that note... I want to give a lovely shout out to one of my besties THE ONLY SUANNY! Make sure to follow her blog and learn some of her #Suannism. She got me hooked on the cilantro shake and trust me, you will feel and see the difference! Thank you Suanny for always being a great friend/sister. You've come along way and I'm sooo proud of you. I tested some new tracks at the gym this week! That's usually how I test them, LOL! If they sound good and keep me going (mind over matter) then they will move every muscle in my body on the dance floor! Here are a few of my top choices!
All I can say is WOWWW!!! Let's start with Daniel Portman and Jerome Isma-Ae FLASHING LIGHTS. Now this is the Jerome Isma-Ae I know... I fell in love with him when I saw his opening set for Armin last summer... SMILE WHEN YOU KILL ME... amazing opening track! This new one reminds me of when I first heard of him. I usually like all of his work, but I must say this track with Daniel Portman is my personal fave that he's had in a while. I truly missed Jerome's signature classic bass lines. Such an uplifting beat... but I love how they mellow down the track right in the middle... it reminds me of Deep Dish SAY HELLO (Dylan Rhymes Acid Thunder Mix). I feel like it has a rockish sound to it... and then BOOM, it goes back to the bass line and you can't go wrong with Daniel Portman's drums and techy beats... This has to be my top track right now!!!
Right behind 'Flashing Lights' has to be John Dahlback's SFINX. He has been releasing a lot of tracks lately. However; this one is THE ONE!!! I was expecting a great one as usual... but... I don't even know what to say. 'Sfinx' exceeded my expectations. Such a "let me get crazy on the dance floor" bass line! His biggest release in a while perhaps? I think so!!! It was love at first beat with this one... great effects too! Ohhh, let's not forget FARAO, another dance floor bomb with a magical melody sound! Absolutely love them both... but 'Sfinx' has to be my fave! John... please keep them coming, this is the John I voted for... I would also love to hear another like 'LOVE INSIDE' just throwing it out there! heehee!
