Today was one of those gloomy, rainy summer days... until I played this amazing tune "VELOCITY" (the second track, starts at 2:30). It gave me a feeling that I hadn't felt in a great while, I felt emotions that were long forgotten. As I closed my eyes, I felt the strong driving bass running through my veins... but suddenly a beautiful, melodic sound of chord progressions lifted me from the ground. The rain was gone and all I saw was sunshine coming my way as I made my way through the clouds... it seemed endless. I suddenly felt the bass taking over me again, I was no longer above the clouds... I was back on the ground running towards the sunshine. When I opened my eyes, I realized the sunshine was there all along!!!

Last Friday, an over capacity Departure @ Vanguard gave some serious love to Nadia Ali, singing each and every lyric along with the dance music diva, as the Nadia's soaring, angelic voice and infectious stage energy took hold of the massive crowd. The performance was chock full of super cute dance moves choreographed with 2 backup dancers, even a few sexy wardrobe changes :)
