INTERVIEW: THE FUTURISTIC POLAR BEARS JOIN SECRET PARTY PROJECT FOR THE CASTLE OF CREEPS HALLOWEEN SPECIAL.
Halloween is a night for ghouls and ghosts, for frights, dungeons and cobweb filled, haunted castles at night. Do you fancy joining the Futuristic Polar Bears and Secret Party Project for just that? Make sure you bring your garlic and wooden stakes!
OK GUYS, LULL US INTO A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY; IT'S NOT ACTUALLY GOING TO BE SCARY IS IT?
(LUKE) Oh it is, these guys know how to put on a proper scare fest, all of their events sell out but along with New Years Eve their Halloween event is the highlight of the year and the castle is truly terrifying. There's going to be Igor Rasputin's caravan of lost souls which will include chimps, mummies, steam punk killer clowns and the ring master Igor Rasputin himself who will lead a selection of whacky and spooky cabaret performers leaving everybody both dazzled and disturbed.
ARE YOU GOING TO ADD SOME EXTRA KILLER BEATS IN YOUR SET FOR THE 27TH OCTOBER?
(FRAN) We have got some new material specially lined up for the party with a few new exclusive tracks. We love playing for SPP we have a great relationship with the guys and the loyal SPP crown and it’s been a great home for us over the last 2 years.
WHAT ARE YOU ALL GOING TO BE DRESSING UP AS?
(RHYS) We have just been sponsored by a new clothing company (Turtle Inc) so we'll be rocking their new t-shirts along with some face painting I think. (Maybe a polar bear face ;))
TELL US A HORROR STORY THAT'S HAPPENED IN YOUR LIFE RECENTLY, ANY GHOSTS IN THE STUDIO?
(LUKE) I missed a flight a while back and had to check into a country manor hotel near the airport, as I checked in I got told it was haunted and I must admit it was an uncomfortable nights sleep and heard many weird and whacky noises throughout the night. I definitely wouldn't sleep there again.
IF YOU COULD BRING 3 PEOPLE BACK FROM THE DEAD FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY TO JOIN YOU AT THE CASTLE OF CREEPS, WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE AND WHY?
(RHYS) Christopher Lee would be a good one for this as he was the original Count Dracular.
(LUKE) William Shakespeare for me. He could do some spooky readings for everybody as they walk in.
(FRAN) Tony De Vit a legendary DJ and it'd be great to hear him play 1 last time.

(FRAN) We're polar bears we'll bite them first ha ha ha.
LAST TIME YOU WERE SCARED SH*TLESS?
(LUKE) Anybody that knows me well knows I’m absolutely petrified of spiders. One landed on my foot the other day and I did nearly sh*t myself.

(RHYS) There’s some great DJs in the main room this year and SPP always give their residents the chance to shine on Halloween and we are very lucky to have some amazing residents in the form of Jimmy Kennedy, Aneesh Gera (Subliminal) & Joe Quinn alongside Riley & Durrant and ourselves. We were with the SPP guys at the BPM show and we've been told to expect amazing production in the main room as well .

HOW ARE YOU GOING TO PROTECT YOURSELVES FROM GHOSTS, VAMPIRES AND ZOMBIES THIS HALLOWEEN?
(RHYS) We've got plenty of weapons of mass dance floor destruction so that'll hopefully keep them at bay ha ha ha. If that fails we'll sacrifice SPP resident Jimmy Kennedy, our Rylan Clark lookalike.
